Where do I find my state's emissions factor?

The Australian Government publishes National Greenhouse Accounts factors by state; check the Department of Climate Change, Energy, the Environment and Water website.

Why does my state matter?

States with more coal-fired generation, such as Victoria, have a higher emissions factor per kWh than states with more renewables or gas.

Does this include transport emissions?

No, this covers household electricity and gas only; vehicle emissions would need a separate calculation.
