How this calculator works

Turf rolls cover a stated face area when fully unrolled, but boundaries, curves, damaged edges and staggered joins create offcuts. This calculator uses the prepared net lawn area, applies an explicit trimming allowance and reports whole rolls plus total purchased coverage for delivery planning.

Frequently asked questions

How accurately should lawn area be measured?

Split irregular lawns into rectangles, triangles or other measurable shapes and deduct permanent garden beds or paved areas that will not receive turf.

Can unused turf be stored for later?

Fresh turf is perishable and can heat or dry quickly, so coordinate delivery, site preparation and installation with the supplier.

Does this include under-turf soil?

No. Calculate any soil-conditioning or levelling layer separately from its compacted depth and the supplier's settlement guidance.
