Frequently asked questions
Why isn't temperature a simple multiplication?
Celsius, Fahrenheit and Kelvin scales have different zero points, so converting between them requires an offset as well as a scaling factor.
What's the difference between Imperial and US mpg?
An Imperial gallon (4.546 L) is larger than a US gallon (3.785 L), so the same fuel economy gives a different mpg figure depending on which gallon is used.
