How an Australian water bill estimate is built
A typical estimate combines metered usage in kilolitres with fixed service charges. Depending on your provider and property, the bill can also include wastewater, sewerage, drainage or other service items.
Enter the rates printed on your current bill rather than a national average. Water pricing, billing periods, usage tiers and fixed charges differ between providers and locations.

Check tiers, estimates and billing dates
If your provider uses tiered pricing, split usage across the applicable bands instead of applying the highest rate to every kilolitre. Check whether the meter reading is actual or estimated and whether the number of billing days matches your calculation.
